For their latest walk, St Leonards Ramblers headed the short distance north to Milngavie where everyone enjoyed morning refreshments. Suitable fed and watered, the High walkers donned their walking gear and set off along the West Highland Way for the 12 mile trek to Drymen.  Meanwhile, the Low walkers boarded the coach to be driven to Carbeth, some 4 miles closer to Drymen where they began their walk along the same route.

Although much snow had fallen over the previous few days, conditions underfoot were remarkably good and the calm and bright weather made for a most satisfying ramble. After changing out of walking gear, everyone enjoyed a warm social stop in a  well known Drymen hostelry before the trip home to East Kilbride.
